My skin type is to the dry and sensitive side, so over the years I've found many things that help to combat dry skin and moisturise the skin both from outside and from within. I want to share those tips with you, so here you have my 4 tips for dry skin!

1.Facial oils

One of my first tips would be to try to experiment with facial oils. Facial oils are very moisturising, and can really help combat dry skin. If you have very sensitive skin and break out easily, you can try oils such as jojoba, rosehip oil or evening primrose oil.

2. Healthy fats

It is not just enough to moisturise the skin from outside-in, one of the best things you can do if you have dry skin, is to eat more healthy fats. Eat more nuts, seeds and avocados, these will moisturise your skin from within.
Hemp seeds, walnuts, cashew nuts, chia seeds, almonds, sesame seeds etc.

3. Avoid harsh products

I don't know about you, but when I was a teenager, all the youth magazines promoted skincare products which was really harsh and damaging for the skin. At that time, I thought that if you were going to combat pimples and acne, that was what you had to use. Boy, was that wrong. These types of products actually damage your good bacteria on the skin, and dry out the skin. So avoid all types of 'harsh' products. Instead try fx some balm cleansers or some very gentle milk cleansers.

4. Hydrate Hydrate Hydrate

We cannot talk about dry skin, without talking about water. Hydrating your body with water, or watery foods (fx cucumber) is so important. Drink more water, and your skin will thank you!
