TRACK YOUR PERIOD - MENSTRUATION APPS

As you might know I've stopped taking birth control (the pill), because I did not want to disturb my hormonal balance anymore. And, I'm currently reading and learning a lot about women's cycles and how to balance your hormones, which I'll write more about later on. But today I wanted to share some Menstruation Apps with you!

Why use a Menstruation app?

You can use a menstruation app, or a period tracker, to figure out when you're going to get your menstruation. You can also learn where you are in your cycle, and thereby learn when you need to be extra protective when having sex, or you can learn about different things to eat and do during the different phases.

I'm currently testing out 3 different menstruation apps.

Clue

In this app you can plot in the data of when you're having your menstruation and it will predict when you're going to get your next period. It also tells you when you're fertile (and therefore should be extra careful concerning protection, if you don't want to get pregnant). You can also plot in data for every day; whether or not you've bled, if you have felt any pain, how you're feeling, how many hours you've slept, whether or not you've had sex, your energy level, your temperature and your discharge. In general a good and simple app which make the tracking very easy.

MC (My Cycles)

My Cycles you can also plot in when you're having your menstruation and additional information such as; how much you're bleeding, your mood, your weight, symptoms, whether you've had sex and how your cervical mucous is.

MyFLO

MyFLO is the app created by the woman who wrote WomanCode (which I'm currently reading and loving). Here you can plot in your period, see when you're fertile and see in which phase of your cycle you're in. You can also add in additional information like the above apps, and what I like the most is that this app follows the guidelines from the WomanCode book and every time you enter the app a little information box pops up telling you in which phase of your cycle you are in, and what would be good to do. Fx taking it slow when you're having your menstruation, or get creative in other parts of the cycle.

So far my favourite app is the MyFLO app, because I can both track my menstruation, but also get informative knowledge about where I'm at in my cycle.

Have you tried a menstruation app? What do you think about it? And which one have you tried?
