You know what? The way you speak to yourself matters. It actually matters way more than you might have thought about until now. So today I want to encourage you to speak kindly & lovingly to yourself!

When I was younger I could be SO hard on myself, criticizing the way I looked, the way I dressed, the way I spoke, the things I said, what I did and so on and so on. Constantly judging myself or comparing myself to others.

And guess what this did?

Absolutely no good at all!

This negative self-talk only brings down your own self-acceptance, self-confidence & self-love.

But you can change this.

It might not be easy, or something you’re going to be able to do from one day to the next. But with consistent awareness and practice - you can cultivate a whole new form of self-love & self-acceptance that you might never had thought possible.

HOW TO DO IT?

FIrst of all, like with all things, you gotta become aware. Pay attention to the things you say to yourself in your head. For the next week try to notice these thoughts. And whenever the unkind & unloving thoughts come up, try to stop them when they do come up.

Now start to tell yourself that these thoughts are not true, and replace them with some more positive, self-loving and encouraging ones.

I know you won’t fully believe yourself at first, but keep going. Stick with this! And over time, your self-love will start to flourish and grow!
