THE LYMPHATIC SYSTEM
The lymphatic system, what is it and what does it? Let's look more at that today, because it's actually very important for your health and well-being! 🌿🌿
In our bodies we have several different systems. We have the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, urinary, reproductive and the lymphatic system.
Majority of these systems runs all by themselves, without you having to "actually" do anything.
However, the lymphatic system is depending on YOU to activate it. And it's actually quiet important that you do so. Because the lymphatic system is part of the immune system. it consists of a network of lymph vessels and ducts that collect excess fluid from your tissue and transport the fluid to the bloodstream. The lymphatic system helps to move toxins from your body, and it is therefore very good for your health to get this system activated, so that you can eliminate these toxins and get them out of your system.
How do you activate the lymphatic system?
You can activate the lymphatic system in several different ways:
- Walking / exercising
- Rebounding (fx jumping on a trampoline/rope)
- Yoga
- Gua sha & face rolling
- Deep belly breathing
- Dry brushing
- Lymph drainage massage
