KEEPING YOUR AGREEMENTS WITH YOURSELF

Do you know the feeling of keeping your agreements with others? Always accommodating your life after others? Never wanting to be in the way? Rearranging your own plans just to make your life fit with others?

I know this feeling, and it’s not to say that keeping your agreements with others aren’t important. It sure is, and it’s a wonderful trait to have!

HOWEVER! If you keep letting yourself down by not sticking to your own agreements with yourself - at the expense of accommodating others, you will tear down your own self-confidence.

Every time you break a promise to yourself, you will start to believe a little bit less and less in yourself for each time.

This isn’t loving - this isn’t a way to take care of yourself.

You might have said to yourself “I want to work on this project” - but then a friend comes around and asks you if you want to hang out the same time that you had planned to work on your own project, and you think “oh well, it was just my own project anyway, I can do that later”.

But - you subconscious mind listens, and it hears that YOUR project, your agreement with yourself isn’t important enough for you.

So what can you do about this? You can start keeping your agreements and promises to yourself; schedule them - like a real appointment with someone else; and do it!

If you want to work on fx a specific project; set time aside each week where you work on this - and keep your promise to yourself.

Or perhaps you want to start doing yoga, then put it in your calendar - and keep your promise to yourself!

I PROMISE you, for every time you keep a promise to yourself - you’ll feel more proud, you’ll feel better - and your subconscious mind will notice how you DO actually do the things you set yourself up for - and this has a huge impact on your life!

So tell me, do you have something you have been wanting to do for a long time but haven’t gotten around to? A project? An exercise routine? Making self-care practices weekly? Now take out your calendar; set aside time each week to do this for YOU - and keep your promise to yourself!
